CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2016 with 30 wins, ranking ninth overall in Maryland, and $747,983 in purse earnings…finished tied for fifth with six wins during Laurel’s summer meet…tied for sixth with 14 wins at Laurel’s year-ending fall stand...with mother, Linda, Team Gaudet finished as eighth-leading owner in Maryland with 11 wins…John Jones tied for the most wins by a horse in Maryland with six from 12 starts to go along with $232,644 in purses…claimed John Jones for $25,000 out of a fourth-place finish July 17 at Laurel…the Smarty Jones gelding reeled off four straight wins for his new connections, beating legendary Ben’s Cat in the Mister Diz, his stakes debut…John Jones finished third in the Claiming Crown Jewel but came back to win the Jennings on New Year’s Eve…worked as an assistant to her father, Eddie, as well as trainers Tom Albertrani, Helen Pitts and Allen Iwinski…first winner came with Cause I Like It on July 10, 2007 at Colonial Downs.

PERSONAL: parents, Eddie and Linda, have had long-time success as owners, breeders and trainers in Maryland…Eddie Gaudet won more than 1,700 races from 1959 until his retirement in 2011…younger sister, Gabby, worked as a host and analyst for the Maryland Jockey Club and its sister track, Gulfstream Park.
