The Stronach 5 will include races from Pimlico Race Course, Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita Park and Golden Gate Fields.

Stronach 5 Returns $618 With Three Winners Under $7

LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5 continues to offer a good return on investment. Even with three of Friday’s winners returning $6.40 or less, there were 91 winning tickets with each being worth $618.90.

The Stronach 5 featured races from Pimlico Race Course, Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita Park and Golden Gate Fields as well as an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

LAUREL, MD – Two races from legendary Pimlico Race Course will kick off Friday’s Stronach 5, featuring four tracks, two races on the turf, and an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

The Stronach 5 will also include races from Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita Park and Golden Gate Fields.

Formful Stronach 5 Yields Multiple $617.80 Payoffs

LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5 returned multiple payoffs of $617.80 following a rather formful sequence Friday.

The Stronach 5, the multi-race, multi-track wager that features an industry-low 12 percent takeout, offered a sequence with three straight races from Gulfstream Park, followed by two from Golden Gate Fields. There were 146 tickets that correctly selected all five winners.

Three on the Turf, Industry-Low 12-Percent Takeout

LAUREL, MD – Three races from Gulfstream Park and two from Golden Gate Fields, including three turf races, will highlight Friday’s Stronach 5.

The Stronach 5, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, will begin with three consecutive races from Gulfstream before concluding with two from Golden Gate.

MARYLAND JOCKEY CLUB CANCELS RACING FOR THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 17-19 DUE TO ONGOING MAIN TRACK SURFACE EVALUATION

LAUREL, MD1/ST RACING and the Maryland Jockey Club announce today that live racing will be cancelled from Saturday April 17 through Monday April 19, due to the ongoing evaluation of the main track surface conditions. As part of regular track maintenance, the Maryland Jockey Club identified on April 14 that the main track had not responded sufficiently to wintertime cushion repairs. Gallops will be allowed during an abbreviated training schedule Friday, April 16.

LAUREL, MD -  “1/ST RACING and the Maryland Jockey Club, as part of regular track maintenance protocols, have identified that the main track at Laurel Park has not responded sufficiently to the necessary repairs following wintertime cushion changes.

“While we work to assess cushion replacement options in consultation with Dr. Mick Peterson from the Racing Surfaces Testing Laboratory, the track will be available for gallopers only, tomorrow morning, Thursday, April 15. No workouts will be permitted until further notice.

LAUREL, MD – There were 42 winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5 with each returning $2,752.40.

The Stronach 5 featured races from Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita Park and Golden Gate Fields, three turf races, and an industry-low 12-percent takeout. There was $130,129 wagered into the Stronach 5.
