Authentic Favored at 9-5 for Saturday's Preakness Stakes

Trainer Bob Baffert on Quest for Record 8th Preakness Win       
 
BALTIMORE – Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Authentic will headline a field of 11 3-year-olds entered Monday in the 145th Preakness Stakes (G1), which will bring down the curtain on a most unusual 2020 Triple Crown campaign Saturday at Pimlico Race Course.
 

Claiming Crown Prep Draws Competitive Fields

Eight Races Friday Compliment Pimlico Special (G3)
 
BALTIMORE - A total of 76 horses were entered for the eight Claiming Crown prep races on the Pimlico Special (G3) program Friday, Oct. 2 at Pimlico Race Course.
 
In addition to guaranteed berths in the Claiming Crown, the Pimlico prep race winners will receive travel subsidies to the event to be held at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, Dec. 5.
 

Jesus' Team First Preakness Contender to Arrive at Pimlico

BALTIMORE – Grupo Seven C Stable’s Jesus’ Team arrived at Pimlico Sunday afternoon, becoming the first contender for Saturday’s Preakness Stakes (G1) to step foot on the historic grounds known as Old Hilltop.
 
The son of Tapiture, who most recently finished third in the Sept. 5 Jim Dandy (G2) at Saratoga, arrived by van from Monmouth Park.
