LAUREL, MD – MCA Racing Stable’s 4-year-old filly Queen Cadence swept to the lead around the far turn and opened up through the stretch to win Laurel Park’s Sunday opener and give jockey Jorge F. Hernandez his first win in the United States.

Queen Cadence ($6), the 2-1 favorite trained by Claudio Gonzalez, went 5 ½ furlongs in 1:07.30 over a fast main track to win the claiming event for fillies and mares 4 and up by 3 ½ lengths.
