Special pool opens at noon ET on Friday, April 25

LAUREL, MD – The new Maryland Jockey Club (TMJC), in conjunction with 1/ST Racing, today announced the field and morning line odds for the Preakness Stakes Future Win Wager. This separate wagering pool involves “WIN” wagering on the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course on May 17.

There are 40 betting interests in the Preakness Stakes Future Win Wager, with the 40th betting interest being the pari-mutuel field, or “all other 3-year-olds.”

Popular jockey taken to hospital after being unseated in post parade

LAUREL, MD – Jockey Forest Boyce suffered injuries after being unseated by her mount as the horses entered the track for Sunday’s first race at Laurel Park.

First-time starter Z Bogdan reared up, dislodged Boyce, and fell on top of the jockey, who could move her extremities while prone on the track.

Boyce was placed in an ambulance and then helicoptered to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland.

LAUREL, MD – Worcester rebounded from a runner-up effort in Aqueduct’s Stymie Stakes last month with a rallying 1 ½-length victory over stablemate New King in the Frank Y. Whiteley for 4-year-olds and upward at seven furlongs.

The Frank Y. Whiteley was one of four $100,000 stakes races on Saturday’s program at Laurel Park.
