LAUREL, MD – The 30th anniversary of the Jim McKay Maryland Million was celebrated at Laurel Park Saturday with heated stakes competition on the racetrack, significant wagering increases at the mutuel windows and an enthusiastic assemblage of fans enjoying the features of an extensively renovated facility.
LAUREL, MD -- Phlash Phelps almost pranced into the winner's circle at Laurel Park Saturday afternoon after his victory in the $125,000 John Deere Maryland Million Turf. Despite having to dig in down the stretch of the one-mile race to put away Roadhog, a two-time Turf winner, Phlash didn't break a sweat.

LAUREL, MD – Ben’s Cat rounded the turn into the homestretch, poised to make yet another winning stretch drive in Saturday’s $100,000 Maryland Million Sprint at Laurel Park.
LAUREL, MD – Maryland Jockey Club handicappers Gabby Gaudet and Stan Salter have handicapped the 11 races comprising Saturday’s 30th running of the Jim McKay Maryland Million Day.
Million Day will include seven restricted stakes with a 12:15 p.m. first race post. The day will include Hall of Fame trainer King Leatherbury saddling the popular 9-year-old gelding Ben’s Cat in the $100,000 Sprint, and Talk Show Man and Phlash Phelps in the $150,000 Classic.
