Stronach 5 Rewards a Dozen Bettors with $17,832

LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5, a national Pick 5 with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, was hit Friday by 12 bettors who each received $17,832.20. 
 
The winning numbers were 6/4,5,6/12/9/7. The total pool was $180,002. The highest price in the sequence was $27.60 and the lowest price $6.

LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5, a national wager with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, will feature a $100,000 guaranteed pool.
 
The Stronach 5 will crisscross the country from Laurel Park to Gulfstream Park West, back to Laurel and Gulfstream West before the final leg is contested at Golden Gate Fields.
 

Stronach 5 Carryover $51,000 Friday, November 9

LAUREL, MD – There will be a $51,331.91 carryover in the Stronach 5 November 9 after there were no winning tickets Friday afternoon.
 
The national Pick 5 wager, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, kicked off Friday with a $108.20 winner in Santa Anita’s fourth race. That was followed by a $16 winner in Gulfstream Park West’s ninth race.
 

Angel Serpa Returns to Laurel Following International Win

LAUREL, MD – Even without a mount on the program, journeyman rider Angel Serpa accepted congratulations in Laurel Park’s jockey’s room Friday for coming home a winner following his first trip to China.
 
Serpa, 30, represented the United States and the Maryland Jockey Club at the 16th annual China Wuhan International Horse Racing Festival at Orient Lucky City Wuhan International Racecourse.
