LAUREL, MD – In addition to a live program of eight races, fans can watch and wager on both the $400,000 Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth (G2) and $20 million Saudi Cup Saturday at Laurel Park.

Laurel will open its doors at 10 a.m. with a live first-race post time of 12:25 p.m.

Since there were no winners in Friday’s Stronach 5, the entire pool carries over to next week.

Friday’s sequence kicked with a $17 winner in Laurel’s eighth race in Unequivocal.

And the prices kept coming.

Laurel’s Weekend of Racing Kicks off Friday with Stronach 5 Race

LAUREL, MD – A weekend of Thoroughbred racing begins Friday at Laurel Park with an eight-race program including a maiden special weight event for 3-year-olds and the opening leg of the popular Stronach 5.

First race post Friday is 12:25 ET.

Friday’s card begins with a field of six 3-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles. Dark Hollow Farm’s homebred Toy, a son of Tapizar trained by Michael Trombetta, is the 3-5 morning line favorite. The chestnut gelding was second last time out at a mile.
