Maryland Jockey Club 2019 Calendar Giveaway
Three Carryovers for Return of Live Racing Friday, Dec. 7

LAUREL, MD – Fans can have breakfast with Santa, get a free 2019 Maryland Jockey Club calendar and have a chance to choose from gifts valued at more than $10,000 while enjoying a live nine-race program Saturday, Dec. 8 at Laurel Park.

From 9:30 a.m. to noon, a breakfast buffet will be served in the sports bar on the second-floor clubhouse at a cost of $19 for adults and $11 for kids age 5-11, while kids 4 and under eat free. Santa will be there to take pictures, and fans are asked to bring their own cameras.

Lucky fans in attendance will be selected throughout the day to choose a wrapped package from under Laurel’s Giving Tree, which will have gifts including flat screen TVs, iPads, game systems and more.

All fans at Laurel will receive a 2019 calendar, courtesy of the MJC.

Saturday's card includes three stakes for Maryland-bred/sired horses – the $100,000 Maryland Juvenile Futurity for 2-year-olds, $100,000 Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship for 2-year-old fillies, and $75,000 Howard and Sondra Bender Memorial for 3-year-olds and up.

Live racing returns with a nine-race program Friday, Dec. 7, beginning at 12:30 p.m. There will be carryovers of $9,165.08 in the 50-cent Late Pick 5 (Races 5-9), $4,311.19 in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 (Races 4-9), and $1,692.45 in the $1 Super Hi-5 for the opener.
