LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5 will have a guaranteed pool of $100,000 Friday, March 8 with races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Golden Gate Fields.

The popular national Pick 5, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, will kick off this week at Laurel Park at 5 p.m. After consecutive turf races at Gulfstream, attention shifts to California with two races at Golden Gate.

Friday’s Stronach 5 sequence

• Leg One – Laurel Park 9th Race – (11 entries, one mile) 5 ET, 2 PT
• Leg Two - Gulfstream Park 10th Race – (nine entries, 1 1/8 miles turf) 5:12 ET, 2:12 PT
• Leg Three – Gulfstream Park 11th Race – (12 entries, one mile turf) 5:42 ET, 2:42 PT
• Leg Four – Golden Gate Fields 5th Race – (10 entries, 1 1/16 miles) 6 ET, 3 PT
• Leg Five –Golden Gate Fields 6th Race – (7 entries, 1 1/16 miles) 6:28 ET, 3:28 PT

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
