Friday’s Stronach 5 Returns $3,607
LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5, featuring races from Laurel Park and Gulfstream Park and an industry-low 12-percent takeout, had 39 winning tickets each worth $3,607.50.
The sequence began with Laurel’s eighth race and the heavy favorite and Florida Sire Stakes winner Phantom Ro returning $3.20. Gulfstream’s eighth race, the second leg of the sequence, produced a $9.40 winner in the 2-year-old colt Warrior’s Pride, while Creative Alibi ($7.40) won Laurel’s closing race of the day and the third leg of the sequence.
The last two races were conducted on the turf at Gulfstream. Silenced, a 14-1 shot, won Gulfstream’s ninth race, returning $31.60, while the closing leg of the sequence and 10th at Gulfstream was won by favorite Souper Jaguar ($6.20).

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.
If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
The Maryland Jockey Club serves as host of the Stronach 5.
