192 Players Compete, 248 Entries
LAUREL, MD., 03/08/15 – Philip Lam will compete in the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) after winning Saturday’s Champions Handicapping Tournament at Laurel Park.
Lam turned a $200 bankroll into $4,051 and walked away with $4,900 and the opportunity to compete in the BCBC at Keeneland or a BCBC satellite location.
There were 192 players competing in the Champions Handicapping Tournament and 248 entries.
Raymond Tannahill finished second and will compete in The Big One handicapping tournament at Laurel Sept. 26-27 while third-place finisher Tom Lemus earned a spot in the 2016 Coast Casinos Horseplayer World Series in Las Vegas.
Live racing returns to Laurel Thursday, March 12 with a Pick 5 carryover of $29,500 and a 12:30 p.m. first race post.
