Laurel Park’s Players’ Jackpot Pick 5 Is Hit For $75,601.80
LAUREL, MD. 9-22-12---One lucky winner took down the top prize of $75,601.80 when Speightful Kiss came charging through traffic to win the final leg of Laurel Park’s Players’ Jackpot Pick 5.
Sixty percent of the daily Pick 5 pool is paid out daily if there are multiple or best of five winners, with the remaining forty percent of the pool carried over to build toward a “jackpot” payout to a single, unique, winning ticket. This was the first time since Laurel’s autumn meeting began on September 5th that there was a single winner.
That single winning ticket contained the numbers 3-12-1-1-1. Post time favorites were beaten in all five legs, with race winners paying, in order, $22.80 (Ek Haseena –race 6), $9.60 (Powder Mountain-race 7), $6 (Riley’s Rampage-race 8), $8.60 (Touring Hong Kong- race 9) and $10.60 (Speightful Kiss – race 10).
The Players’ Jackpot Pick 5 is a $.50 minimum wager with an 18% takeout.
