LAUREL, MD. 1-16-15---Apprentice jockey Darius Thorpe won his first professional race this afternoon and the aftermath turned into a spontaneous celebration by the Maryland racing community.

LAUREL, MD. 01-10-15---Live Oak Plantation’s Souper Lucky rallied off the pace to take today’s $50,000 allowance feature at Laurel Park, an effort that will set up a stakes appearance on Presidents’ Day weekend.

LAUREL, MD. 01-03-15---Pearl Bloodstock, Ltd.’s Star Pearl hounded the pacesetter to the top of the lane before wresting command and drawing away to victory in the 1-1/16th mile, $100,000 Nellie Morse Stakes, the third of four $100,000 stakes races Saturday afternoon at Laurel Park.
LAUREL, MD. 01-03-15---Somraj Singh’s Never Stop Looking hadn’t won a race since last January but past performances were of little matter over the wet going in this race as he steered wide into the stretch and ran down his foes to win the $100,000 Fire Plug Stakes, the second of four $100,000 stakes races Saturday afternoon at Laurel Park.
