105 Bettors Each Take Home $1,149

LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5 rewarded 105 bettors with $1,149 each for selecting all five winners in the national wager with an industry-low 12-percent takeout.
   
With both races from Gulfstream, originally scheduled on the turf, run on the main track due to heavy rain in the South Florida area, Friday’s Stronach 5 had five short prices on top. The longest shot came in the final sequence when Temple Mount won the ninth race at Gulfstream and returned $7.40.

Friday’s Stronach 5 sequence

●    Leg One – Laurel Park 9th Race – Ode to Joy $6.20
●    Leg Two – Golden Gate 5th Race – Thorn Hill Cat $5.20
●    Leg Three –Gulfstream Park 8th Race – Denver $6
●    Leg Four –Santa Anita 5th Race – Psycho Dar $4.80
●    Leg Five –Gulfstream 9th Race – Temple Mount $7.40

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
