LAUREL, MD - It didn't take long for Michael Dickinson to find himself back in the winner's circle
 
The Maryland-based trainer won with the first horse he saddled since retiring in 2007 when Augustin Stable's Tide Is High, who had not run since September, went wire-to-wire in an entry-level allowance race late Saturday on the turf at Laurel Park.

McCarthy Wins Three, Toledo Takes First Turf Race

LAUREL, MD - Jockey Trevor McCarthy won the first three races Friday at Laurel Park, but it was Jevian Toledo who won the first turf race of the season. 
 
McCarthy rode the early double with Memento d'Oro ($6.60) in the first and Pom Pom Pistol ($4.80) in the second, and came back to win the third race aboard J La Tache ($3).
 

Graded Winner Lady Sabelia Returns To Laurel Saturday In $75,000 Primonetta

LAUREL, MD - Mrs. Frank P. Wright's Grade 2-winning homebred Lady Sabelia, a winner of eight of her last 12 races, meets seven others Saturday in the $75,000 Primonetta Stakes.
            
Along with Lady Sabelia, a winner of nearly $700,000 for trained by Robin Graham and jockey Horacio Karamanos, the Primonetta drew Love Came to Town, a 5 1/2-length winner Jan. 2 of the Nellie Morse, and Flattering Bea, who ships in from Charles Town.
