MARYLAND MILLION HAPPY HOUR DRAW
WHAT:
The Maryland Jockey Club and Maryland Million will play host to Maryland Million Happy Hour Draw, an opportunity for media to meet breeders, owners, trainers and jockeys participating in this year’s $1 million Jim McKay Maryland Million Day at Laurel Park Saturday, October 17.
Appetizers and drinks will be served.
The event will be hosted by track announcer Dave Rodman. Television hosts and handicappers Gabby Gaudet and Stan Salter will offer expert analysis of the races and interview guests.

The Maryland Million is a one-day stakes program offering purses totaling $1 million, restricted to the nominated progeny of nominated stallions standing in the state. First race post Saturday is 12:15 p.m. Parking and general admission are free at Laurel Park. Maryland Million Day will feature a number of events including the Suttler Post Clydesdales, the Goshen Fox Hounds, trick riding and Marylandia, a day-long celebration in Paddock Park featuring craft beers and ciders, live music, free gifts and food trucks.
Anthony Kearns, considered Ireland’s foremost tenor and known for his collaborative work with the PBS super-group, the Irish Tenors, will perform America the Beautiful.
