Printasticat Gallops In Maryland Million Distaff Starter Handicap
LAUREL, MD. 10-18-14---Somraj Singh & MCA Racing Stable LLC’s Printasticat broke alertly, sat just off the pacesetter and when she was asked, took over the lead and drew away to win the $50,000 Maryland Distaff Starter Handicap at Laurel Park.
The Claudio Gonzalez trainee carried Daniel Centeno to a three length victory over favorite Aix En Provence, with Touring Hong Kong taking third.
“The last time she ran she bled a little bit so we treated her, we fixed her up,” Gonzalez said. “She feels perfect now and she ran like she felt.”
The winner, a daughter of Fantasticat, completed the one mile distance in 1:38.30 and paid $17.80.
