Fall Meet-Leading Jockey Toledo Adds Three More Winners
LAUREL, MD – Saturday’s nine-race program at Laurel Park will feature carryovers in both the 20-cent Rainbow 6 and 50-cent Late Pick 5 wagers.
First race post time is 12:30 p.m.
No one had all six winners in the Rainbow 6, growing the jackpot carryover to $7,490.14 for the popular multi-race sequence which begins Saturday in Race 4. Tickets with five of six winners Friday were worth $230.64.
The Late Pick 5, which offers an industry-low 12 percent takeout, will have a carryover of $4,672.63 starting in Race 5. Tickets with four of five winners Friday returned $27.30.
Jockey Jevian Toledo added three winners to his fall meet-leading total, scoring aboard Benchmark Babe ($3.40) in the second race, Grand Lassie ($4.80) in the third and Giles Fair ($32.20) in the sixth. Toledo has 55 wins, 22 more than co-runners up Feargal Lynch and Sheldon Russell.
Steve ‘Cowboy’ Hamilton opened and closed the card with victories, taking the first on Off My Stage ($10.40) and the ninth with Child’s Play ($5.20).
