LAUREL, MD – The Maryland Racing Media Association’s (MRMA) Crab Feast Scholarship and Charity Auction Banquet will take place Saturday evening at 6 p.m. in the Carriage Room at Laurel Park.
The MRMA will honor Hall of Fame trainer King Leatherbury, outgoing Maryland Racing Commission chairman Bruce Quade, the connections of champion sprinter Xtra Heat, and Northview Stallion Station’s Richard Golden.
The MRMA will also hand out approximately $25,000 in scholarships to Maryland residents attending colleges and universities. There will also be a silent auction featuring American Pharoah and other racing memorabilia along with tickets to local sporting events.
The MRMA is supported in part by the Maryland Jockey Club, Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and the Maryland Horse Breeders’ Association
