LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5, featuring races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Golden Gate Fields along with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, returned $7,182.50 each to 23 bettors.

Friday’s Stronach 5 began with Laurel Park’s eighth race and Two Charley’s ($7.80) winning the opening leg. In the third leg, Tesio winner and Smarty Jones (G3) runner-up Diamond King returned from a near six-month layoff to win Gulfstream’s ninth race at a mile and return $6.40. The final leg at Golden Gate Fields produced a $4.60 winner in Sequentially.

●    Leg Two – Laurel Park 9th Race – Midnight Games $16.40
●    Leg Three – Gulfstream Park 9th Race – Diamond King $6.40
●    Leg Four – Gulfstream Park 10th Race – Spinning Kitten $11.20
●    Leg Five – Golden Gate Fields 5th Race – Sequentially $4.60

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
