LAUREL, MD – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved Sunday at Laurel Park, creating a jackpot carryover of $74,400.54 for when live racing returns with an eight-race program Friday, March 16.
 
Two horses, Summer Run (5-1) and True Arch (16-1), were live to take down the jackpot heading into the ninth-race finale, won by The Great Ronaldo ($6.80). Summer Run finished fifth.

Rainbow 6 Carryover Grows to $42,563 for Friday, March 9

LAUREL, MD - Jorge Vargas Jr. rode three straight winners late in Monday’s card to punctuate a four-win afternoon for the current winter-spring meet’s leading jockey.
 
Vargas picked up his first winner with Belfour ($3.20) in the second race and followed up with Mila Jane ($10.80) in the sixth, first-time starter Three Hawk ($7) in the seventh and Kaitain ($4.40) in the eighth.

LAUREL, MD – Heavy rain and high winds from Winter Storm Riley forecast to hit the East Coast Thursday evening has forced The Maryland Jockey Club to postpone the live program Friday, March 2 at Laurel Park.
 
Friday’s entire nine-race program will be run, as carded, on Monday, March 5. Post time will be 12:30 p.m.
