LAUREL, MD – Twenty-one months after making his first and only trip to Maryland, Antonino Miuccio’s multiple Grade 1 winner Palace will return to Laurel Park as the headliner in Saturday’s $350,000 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash.

24th De Francis Highlight $850,000 Program Saturday, Nov. 14

LAUREL, MD - Grade 1 winners Private Zone, Palace and Vosburgh runner-up Salutos Amigos lead a group of 27 nominated for the $350,000 Frank De Francis Memorial Dash to be run Saturday, Nov. 14 at Laurel Park.

The 24th running of the six-furlong De Francis highlights a program of six stakes worth $850,000. First race post is 12:05 p.m.

Maryland Jockey Club to Host Town Hall Meeting Nov. 20

LAUREL, MD - The Maryland Jockey Club announced today it will host a town hall meeting with industry leaders Friday, Nov. 20 to share and discuss its vision for the future of the Maryland Thoroughbred industry.
 
The town hall meeting, open to industry stakeholders, the media and public, will be held in the Carriage Room at Laurel Park. The town hall meeting will begin at 6 p.m. after a free buffet dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m.

LAUREL, MD – Led by Federico Tesio runner-up Noteworthy Peach and stakes-winning veteran Behemoth in the featured $70,000 Jewel, a total of 110 horses were entered for the nine-race Claiming Crown Preview Day program on tap Sunday at Laurel Park.
 
Sunday’s card mirrors the nine Claiming Crown races to be held on Opening Day of the Championship Meet at Gulfstream Park Saturday, Dec. 5. The winner of each race will earn an automatic berth in the Claiming Crown as well as free shipping to Gulfstream.
