LAUREL, MD – The calendar flips to February for an eight-race program Saturday at Laurel Park that will feature carryovers in the 50-cent Late Pick 5, 20-cent Rainbow 6 and $1 Super Hi-5 wagers.
First race post time is 12:25 p.m.
Chargin Storm ($18.80) pulled an upset in Friday’s finale to force the triple carryovers. The Late Pick 5, offering an industry-low 12 percent takeout, begins in Race 4 with a carryover of $6,391.51. Tickets with four of five winners Friday were worth $47.30.
The Rainbow 6 begins in Race 3 with a jackpot carryover of $3,826.90. Tickets with five of six winners Friday each returned $274.30.
A trio of allowance races close both sequences. Sophomore fillies will go one mile in Race 6, led by 5-2 program favorite Windy Lane, while Let’s Play Nine is the 4-5 top choice on the morning line in Race 7, a one-mile test for Maryland-bred/sired horses 4 and up. Fillies and mares 4 and older will go seven furlongs in Race 8, a second-level optional claiming allowance.
There will also be a carryover of $1,446.21 in the Super Hi-5 for Race 2.
