LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout and a $100,000 guaranteed pool, will include three turf races – two from Gulfstream Park – and will kick off at 5:08 p.m. with a field of eight juveniles going 5 ½ furlongs at Santa Anita Park.

LAUREL, MD –Friday’s Stronach 5, highlighted by three turf races and four different tracks, had 26 winners, each receiving $5,094.70.

Friday’s sequence began at Gulfstream Park in Florida with Allurstra winning the eighth race and returning $29.40, and ending in California with the gray Confidentially winning the sixth race at Santa Anita Park and paying $11.40.

The national wager has an industry-low 12-percent takeout and a guaranteed pool of $100,000.

LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5, featuring an industry-low 12-percent takeout and $100,000 guaranteed pool, will be highlighted by turf races from Gulfstream Park, Pimlico Race Course and Santa Anita Park.

Post time for the national pick 5 will be 5 p.m.  The Stronach 5 will also feature six furlong events on the main track from Golden Gate Fields and Gulfstream.

LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5 became the Stronach 4 when heavy rains forced the cancellation of four races at Pimlico Race Course, including the ninth race and second leg of the national pick five.

After Smoovie won the sixth race at Santa Anita Park and the final leg of the Stronach 5, 41 bettors would each win $2,685.60.

With the Pimlico ninth race being an ‘all,’ the winning combination was 7/ALL/6/3,7,12,13,14/1.

Live racing shifts to legendary Pimlico Race Course for the 12-day Preakness Meet at Pimlico starting Thursday, May 9.
