LAUREL, MD – Laurel Park will wrap up its 2018 stakes schedule Saturday, Dec. 29 with a Christmastide Day program of six stakes worth $550,000 in purses which attracted a total of 151 nominations.
 

Stronach 5 Returns $2,916 to 37 Winners

LAUREL, MD – Thirty-seven bettors walked away with $2,916.90 each for selecting the correct winners in Friday’s Stronach 5.
 
The national pick 5 with an industry-low 12-percent takeout featured three races from Gulfstream Park’s Championship Meet and two from Laurel Park. The lowest price winner in the five-race sequence was $8.20 – coming in the last leg at Gulfstream – while the highest price winner was $17.40

LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5, a national wager that returned $51,815 last week to two bettors, will have a $50,000 guaranteed pool Friday and feature three races from Gulfstream Park and two from Laurel Park.
 
Friday’s sequence kicks off at 3:50 ET with a six furlong maiden claimer at Laurel. The sequence also includes a mile turf event at Gulfstream that drew 10.
 

Two Bettors Win $51,815 in Friday’s Stronach 5

LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5, featuring three races from Gulfstream Park and two from Laurel Park, rewarded two bettors Friday with payoffs of $51,815 each.

The Stronach 5, a national pick 5 with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, was hit by a bettor in New York and another on Xpressbet.com.

The Stronach 5 ended with Marcelino winning the final leg of the sequence and returning $169.20.
